Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – A man who drove a school bus that ran over a Rochester girl last year has pleaded guilty.

The accident happened on the afternoon of April 26 as the 14-year-old girl was cycling across 11th Ave NW at the intersection of 14th St.

The bus driver – Karl Beeman, 87 – told police he did not see the girl and did not know he had hit her until he felt the ‘impact. Police later fined him for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
