Kongsberg Digital signs contract to digitize entire MSC fleet

Kongsberg Digital and MSC, the world’s largest container line, have signed a contract to digitize MSC’s entire fleet of approximately 500 vessels with Vessel Insight.

The 5-year agreement includes the delivery of Kongsberg Digital’s Vessel Insight data infrastructure service and Kongsberg Digital’s Vessel Performance application across the entire MCS-owned fleet of approximately 500 vessels, plus options. MSC is already a digitally mature shipping company with many applications and systems in place. By using Vessel Insight, Kongsberg Digital’s ship-to-cloud data infrastructure, MSC will be able to achieve more transparency and better use of data.
