New captain on the Bryton ship

Bryton Marine Group of Vernon has a new COO.

The parent company of KingFisher Boats of Vernon has appointed Stuart McVitty as its new chief operating officer, effective October 17. Bryton also owns EagleCraft in Campbell River and three other shipping companies in Washington.

McVitty comes to the Okanagan from Cape Town, South Africa, where he gained extensive experience in operational leadership, project management and business development. He will be responsible for developing performance goals and long-term operational plans, as well as maximizing efficiency through in-depth process analysis and cross-company collaboration.

Bryton reports that it has grown to 430 employees and holds the top share in its target markets as well as the most diversified maritime portfolio in North America.
