Duqm– Asyad Group announced on Monday the launch of the second ship built in Asyad Drydock in Duqm.
The production of ‘MEFK Pearl’, a 24m long vessel to be operated at Fujairah Port, is another milestone in the group’s shipbuilding journey, cementing Asyad’s position on the world logistics map. as a hub supplying regional markets with high-tech and turnkey steel and aluminum vessels.
Ibrahim Bakhit al Nadhairi, CEO of Asyad Shipping and Asyad Drydock, said: “This step complements the strategies developed by the group to support the growth of the shipbuilding industry in Oman and expand its portfolio to meet the needs of its customers both regionally and regionally. world markets.”
He added that by using aluminum, the group has been able to advance its dry-dock shipbuilding capabilities. “With our industry know-how and local engineering and design talents, we have been able to provide high quality manufacturing services to our customers. Our ambitions do not stop there, going even further, we also build specialized vessels for transport, modern fishing and marine research,” he said.
Nadhairi went on to explain that Asyad is working hand in hand with various government organizations and the private sector to advance the shipbuilding industry in the sultanate. The partnership with the private-public sector aims to supply and meet the needs of the local market in boats and multi-purpose vessels for operations, navigation services, fishing and leisure, in addition to maintenance.
