New details of Wallywhy150 revealed by Wally

Wally has unveiled new details on the latest model in its wallywhy semi-displacement line, the wallywhy150, ahead of the next show season. The new yacht was first introduced to the industry in July. It was created by the experienced Wally-Ferretti Group engineering team, with Studio A. Vallicelli & C responsible for its contemporary interior design. “The outdoor spaces are absolutely huge and are unmatched for its size. The upper deck is completely open, giving you a huge amount of protected space on top, equivalent to what you would see on a 40 meter yacht. On board, you can enjoy a full dining setting on the sundeck, sunbathing area, shaded lounge and more – almost the entire length of the boat is outdoors. This appeals to many contemporary owners who want to ensure they have a strong connection to water,” explains Stefano de Vivo, Managing Director of Wally. He continues: “Another important detail of the wallywhy150 is the floor-to-ceiling glass. which dominates the ship’s design. This continuous glass that runs through the ship’s exterior is replicated inside: when guests are seated on the sofa or at the dining table, they will always feel in close contact with the natural surroundings. Using so much glass has obviously presented our engineers with many technical challenges, but you have to be brave enough to push the boundaries and change existing design parameters. You can also see it in our choice to include the highest ceiling ever in the saloon for a yacht of this size – headroom reaches 2.5 meters, which is typically found in an 80 meter yacht . Following her bigger sister, wallywhy200, her onboard accommodation includes a master stateroom located forward on the main deck, which features 270-degree panoramic views. Additional accommodation can be found on the lower deck, which can be configured as a 2 VIP cabin or a 1 VIP+ guest cabin, with all cabins benefiting from the lighting effects of their huge windows which create an airy space and modern ambience on board. “It’s the simplicity and accessibility of the layout that makes it so appealing to a wide range of customers – it offers the ultimate flexible platform for those looking to expand the horizon of traditional desktop usage. craft planning. It is the first ship with direct access to the sea at cockpit level with no stairs necessary – it is in fact a floating loft on the water. As we all know, owners are increasingly prioritizing water adventures and exploration, and we made sure to incorporate that into the design of the wallywhy150,” says Luca Bassani, Founder and Designer. in chief of Wally. When powered by her optional three IPS1350 engines, the wallywhy150 can reach a top speed of 23 knots, or 21 knots with standard three IPS1200 engine propulsion. The first wallywhy150 is scheduled to launch in February 2023 and will make its global debut in spring 2023. Wally is part of the Ferretti Group. It was founded in 1994 in Monaco by Luca Bassani and is the only yachting brand to have twice won the ADI Compasso d’Oro, the world’s most important award for quality and design. Credits: Wally
